Congress leaders remember Nehru's Panchsheel Treaty in Nalgonda
Nalgonda: District Congress Committee president Shankar Naik stated that the country witnessed progress during the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's tenure. On Thursday, along with Congress party leaders, Naik garlanded the statue of Nehru and paid tributes on his occasion of the latter's birth anniversary celebrations held at Nalgonda.
Speaking on the occasion, the DCC chief said Nehru with his vision and reforms laid a strong foundation for the development of the country. Stating that Nehru along with other freedom fighters has played a key role in India's freedom struggle, Naik said Nehru's Panchsheel, or the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence, brought special identity to the country on the international dais. ZPTC Vanguri Laxmaiah, party leaders K Mallaiah, B Venkanna, J Srinivas, A Subhash, Shankar, Ravi, J Saidi Reddy, Bangaraiah and others paid tributes to the late Prime Minister.
