Congress lines up top guns for Huzurnagar bypoll

Hyderabad: Several top leaders of the Congress party are camping in Huzurnagar to support party candidate N Padmavathi Reddy in the byelection to be held on October 21.

Top leaders of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) including working presidents J Kusuma Kumar, Ponnam Prabhakar, vice president Mallu Ravi, several general secretaries and secretaries, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, former Minister R Damodar Reddy, former LOPs in Assembly and Council K Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali respectively, MLA T Jagga Reddy, leader of CLP in Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others are camping in the constituency and canvassing on behalf of the party.

AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao, Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy and other senior leaders are also planning to visit the constituency and hold campaign in Huzurnagar during the next week.

Party sources said that former Minister R Damodar Reddy has been playing a key role in the campaign activity and he has been working shoulder to shoulder with TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

The campaign for the bypoll would end on October 20 and the party is left with nine days to hold canvassing. The party leaders want to make the most out of the remaining time.
