Hyderabad: Six Congress MLAs including CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka were suspended from the House for one day on Saturday.

There was pandemonium in the House when Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao started his reply to the motion of thanks to the Governor's Address in the Assembly. The CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka wanted to raise some issues to which the Speaker denied permission. The Congress members K Rajagopal Reddy came near the well and alleged that the ruling party leaders had indulged in kidnapping the DCCB directors denying them to vote in the cooperative elections.

The Chief Minister said that he would not yield and asked the member to get out of the House. "The members cannot shout in the Assembly... we have 100 members and we can shout with greater voice. They don't have patience to listen to my reply. There are rules and regulations and we can suspend the member," said the Chief Minister.

The Legislative Affairs Minister read out the name of Rajagopal Reddy recommending his suspension from the House. However, the Speaker read out six names including Rajagopal Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka, D Anusuya, D Sridhar Babu, T Jayaprakash Reddy and P Veeraiah when they protested the suspension of their member.

The Chief Minister wanted stern action against Rajagopal Reddy for his outburst and shouting. He requested the Speaker to expunge the statements of Reddy stating that they were 'blatant lies'. The Chief Minister said there was no need for the TRS leaders to kidnap the directors. People are supporting TRS in every election and it is the Congress and BJP which have colluded in the municipal elections.

"There should be stern action against the member for making baseless allegations and making irresponsible comments. The member says Rs 50,000 crore were spent on Mission Bhagiratha but the fact is only Rs 41,000 crore was spent and another Rs 3,000 crore would be needed. We should think whether we can have such member or he should be sent out," said Chandrashekar Rao suggesting the Speaker to call a meeting of MLAs and frame laws.

The Chief Minister said that Mission Bhagiratha was an incredible scheme. Over 8,600 Gram Panchayats have sent resolutions stating that water has reached in all the households in their villages along with the signature of the MLAs. He also showed signature of Rajagopal Reddy.

The Chief Minister said that Union Jal Shakti ministry had certified that fluoride problem has ended in Nalgonda because of the Mission Bhagiratha.
