Congress Bhuvanagiri MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. The Congress MP meeting PM Modi has gained all-round interest in the state politics.

During the meeting, MP Komatireddy has submitted a memorandum letter to PM on four issues. Speaking to Media, MP said that he urged PM to stop the environmental clearances for the Pharma City in Hyderabad, which will be established by the Telangana government.

He said that initially 3,000 acres of land were allocated for the Pharma City but eventually it was raised to 19,333 acres which will lead to a severe pollution problem in Hyderabad.

MP also requested for a new national highway from the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road to Kothagudem along with the highway number. He further asked PM to allocate Rs 3000 crore for cleaning of Musi river along with one water treatment plant.

On this occasion, MP recalled that the central government launched an integrated Ganga conservation mission called 'Namami Gange' to arrest the pollution of Ganga River and in the same spirit Musi river cleaning project must be initiated.

In addition to this, MP Komatireddy urged PM to establish block-level handloom clusters with Rs 1,045 crore in his Bhuvanagiri constituency under National Handloom development programme. On hearing his requests, PM Modi has responded positively, MP said.
