Revanth Reddy detained for trying to lay siege to Pragati Bhavan

Congress working president Revanth Reddy who was put under house arrest has been taken into custody after he tried to escape from police on a two-wheeler to lay siege Pragati Bhavan.

Condemning his arrest, Revanth said that the KCR's governance is not a democratic one. Meanwhile, the police across state are detaining the Congress leaders prior to their action. The police who arrested CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka has brought him to his house and put under house arrest.

Other Congress senior leaders Ponnala Lakshamaiah, Jana Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridar Babu, Ramulu Naik, Sampath Kumar, Anjan Kumar, Vishnuvardhan Reddy were also put under house arrest. Around 20 Congress leaders were detained from Kukatpally, Nijampet, Balanagar and Sanath Nagar while another 20 in Jagtial.

On the other hand, security tightened at Pragati Bhavan to prevent any untoward incidents.
