Congress opposes move to privatise OU hostel messes

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson K Manavata Rai on Tuesday demanded that the government withdraw the decision to privatise the maintenance of Osmania University hostel messes.

Addressing the media, he said that the attitude of the government is objectionable as it says that meal would be supplied once in a day and light food two times.

He wanted to know whether such conditions would be imposed on the family members of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He demanded that the government not resort to vengeful actions on the Osmania University students.
