Congress 'Padyatra' for resolving farmers' issues
Mahabubnagar: The Mahabubnagar district congress leaders conducted a Padayatra from Bhootpur mandal in Devarkadra constituency to the new district collectorate complex in Mahabubnagar on Tuesday and demanded the BRS government to immediately resolve the problems of the farmers and fulfill all the promises made to the people during the elections.
Taking part in the one day walkathon programme from Bhootpur mandal, G Madhusudhan Reddy, District Congress President said that the BRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandraskehar Rao has miserably failed to fulfill the poll promises made to the people in the state and particularly the farmers in the state are facing many problems due to faulty and unreliable Dharani portal. "The TRS government had completely failed on all fronts. Not a single promise made by the chief minister has been fulfilled. We are demanding the state government to allot double bed room houses to all the beneficiaries and immediate steps must be taken to fulfill the promises made by the BRS government," said G Madhusudhan Reddy.
Stressing on his reason for conducting Padayatra, the district congress president highlighted that Devarkadra MLA Ala Venkateshwar Reddy has failed to fulfill his promise of providing BT and CC Roads to each and every Tribal Tanda in the constituency. The congress leader also raised the issue of corruption and allegations of allotting double bed room houses at Siddaiahpally village to ineligible persons. "The BRS government had constructed a few double bed room houses here and there and even in that allegation of corruption and allotments to ineligible persons is witnessed," observed the congress leader.
The Congress party is demanding the BRS government to fulfill all its electoral promises made to the people and must immediately waive off Agriculture loans of farmers up to one lakh in one go, abolition of Dharani portal, laying of roads to each and every Thanda, enhanced compensation for all who lost lands under Karivena Reservoir, 100 bed hospital at Kottakota, Junior college to Chinnachintakunta mandal, one job to every family who gave land for Karivena project etc.
Congress activists and general public took part in large numbers in the Padayatra. Along with Congress district president, Kollapur congress in charge and TPCC secretary Rangineni Abhilash Rao and others took part.
