Congress party structure suffered damages: Jana
Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and former Leader of Opposition in Assembly K Jana Reddy on Saturday said the structure of the party has suffered damages in the past few years.
Addressing the media, he said the Congress requires a Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) like structure for the party.
He said that responsibility should not be fixed to one or two people like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, but all the leaders should share it.
He pointed out that with the relentless work carried out by the RSS it has ensured that the BJP reaches 302 from two seats in the Lok Sabha. He said that he would convey his opinions to the AICC leaders if given an opportunity.
He condemned the reports that he would contest from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency to be vacated by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.
He said that no one could have stopped him from contesting from Nalgonda Parliamentary constituency in the recent polls.
Jana Reddy said that he would encourage his son to enter into elections and wanted that he should carry on his legacy. He said that he was tired and wants to take rest.
He said the people have taught a fitting lesson to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who has encouraged defections. He said that ruling party should keep its promises.
