Congress president election turned into a farce: Krishna Saagar Rao
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit chief spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao on Monday said the election of Congress party president has turned into a farce.
The entire process reflects the sorry state of affairs of that party. Congress is facing such a crisis that it had not witnessed at any point of time in its 100-year history.
Lack of efficient leadership, irresponsibility etc have contributed and the current crisis of the party is its own making, he added.
Earlier, the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had handed over reins of the Congress, which is the largest Opposition party in the Country. Everyone thought that the party would elect an efficient leader to lead the Congress.
However, electing Sonia Gandhi as an interim president shows the party lacking leadership and political insolvency.
Though BJP wanted a strong opposition, it seems Congress is not in a position to survive. It is just a matter of time that the Congress bubble is all set to burst.
