Hyderabad: Leader of Congress Legislature Party in Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday said that the residential schools are in a pathetic condition all over the state.

He visited the residential school at Bhupalapalli along with MLAs D Sridhar Babu and Seethakka. He said that the funds under the SC and ST sub plan have been diverted.

Though the Congress has brought an act to spend the amounts meant for the SCs and the STs on to them, the government did not follow it.

Expressing his anger over the food provided to the inmates of the residential school, he said that though they have to be served with Idly as breakfast, cooked rice, colored with turmeric, is supplied in the name of Khichdi.

He said that for 260 students about 30 kilos of rice in the form of Khichdi are supplied. He said that the maintenance of this residential school reflects the way the other residential schools are maintained.
