Congress sees threat to democracy in State

Hyderabad: AICC secretary SA Sampath Kumar on Friday said that democracy was in danger in the State with the attitude of the TRS government and wanted all to raise their voice against it.

Addressing the media, along with spokesperson A Dayakar and Indira Sobhan, he said that a disaster is waiting to hit democracy in the State. He said that the legislature and the media are severely restricted from questioning the government.

He said that all the sections of the society are facing problems. The farmers have not been provided with Rythu Bandhu amounts, the youth did not have jobs, and the students have not been given fee reimbursement amounts.

He said that 'chintu and pintu' (chintu – Industries minister KT Rama Rao and pintu – Finance minister T Harish Rao) have been keeping quite on the issues of the people.
