Warangal: Former TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah has said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is more of words than deeds. Speaking at a bike rally in support of Congress candidate for Warangal Lok Sabha Dommati Sambaiah here on Tuesday, he said that both KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are good for nothing. "Modi, who took over the reins of the country in 2014, failed miserably. On

the other hand, KCR, who is aspiring to be the next Prime Minister, has no calibre to lead the nation," Lakshmaiah said.

Later addressing a press conference, he said that people have no faith in Modi and KCR as they both failed to fulfil their 2014 election promises. Referring to KCR's statement in support of special category status to Andhra Pradesh the other day indicates that he is an opportunistic politician. He said that KCR, who initially opposed GST and demonetisation, later on backed Modi due to vested interests. The BJP opposed when Congress government proposed 18 per cent Goods and Service Tax (GST) and wanted it to be as 14 per cent. Today they are implementing 28 per cent GST. Such was the double standards of the BJP, he said.

"The TRS government's days are numbered as people now started to understand what KCR is all about. KCR has even failed to provide double bedroom houses in his native village," he said. KCR wants BJP at the Centre so that he would continue his feudal rule in the State, he added.

BJP is saying that Congress is a family party, Lakshmaiah said, questioning that the rationale behind that remarks. "Even though, Congress was in power for a decade, Rahul never tried to become Prime Minister. Such was Rahul's character," he said.
