Mahbubnagar: On the call of AICC president Sonia Gandhi, the district Congress leaders will take out a huge protest rally against the wrong economic and anti-people policies of the State and central governments on November 8.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Vamshichand said that the district Congress party unit will take out a huge protest rally and would lay siege to the district Collectorate as a mark of dissent against the wrong policies of the State and central governments which have ruined the economic conditions in the country.

Adding further, Vamshi Chand said that during the Congress government the country witnessed an economic growth of over 8 percent, however, after the BJP took the reins this growth has drastically declined and is confined to just 3 percent. All sectors in the country are facing financial crunch post-implementation of GST and note ban imposed by the BJP government.

"The people of this country both at the center and the State are facing economic hardships. The note ban imposed by the Prime Minster Narendra Modi literally crumbled the country's economy. As if not enough, the State and central governments by implementing the harsh tax regime of GST, they further broke the backbone of the industrial sector.

The small and medium businesses and new entrepreneurs are at the receiving end," observed Vamshi Chand.

The AICC secretary also lamented that Prime Minister Narendra Modi miserably failed in implementing his promise of providing 2 crore jobs to youth. Rather, instead of creating jobs; the wrong economic policies of the government led to a loss of 90 lakh jobs in the country.

Attacking the State government, the AICC secretary said that before the formation of Telangana State, the Congress had a surplus economic state; however, during the 5-year rule of KCR, the State has become a debt-ridden State.

"KCR's wrong economic and anti-peoples policies have ruined the State during the past 5 years. Not a single section of people is happy with this government. The State is under deep huge debt because of the wrong economic policies of this government," lamented the AICC secretary.

District Congress Committee president Obedulla Kotwal said that the Congress party is always there to fight for the welfare and development of the people. "Congress will go to any extent to protect democracy and welfare of people in the country. We will stage a large scale protest and lay siege to the district Collectorate on November 8," said the Mahbubnagar DCC president.
