Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday claimed that the Congress party would win the Huzurnagar by-elections with a margin of more than 30,000 votes.

Addressing the party workers in a meeting at Neredlacherla in Suryapet district, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the by-election and the polling would be held on October 21. He said that the Huzurnagar constituency has witnessed immense development under the previous Congress regime. He alleged that the TRS Government has stalled the development since 2014. However, he said as three-time MLA representing the constituency since 2009, he always fought with the authorities to develop Huzurnagar. It was due to his hard work and blessings of people of Huzurnagar that he got elected as Member of Parliament from Nalgonda constituency.

Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS has fielded a candidate hailing from Andhra in the by-elections. He also alleged that by using some police officials with Andhra roots, TRS Government was playing a political game to win Huzurnagar seat. However, he said despite all conspiracies and dirty tricks by TRS, Congress would win with a comfortable majority and a margin of not less than 30,000 votes.

Former CLP leader K. Jana Reddy and other senior leaders also addressed the meeting.

Several leaders and workers of different parties including TRS joined the Congress party on the occasion.
