Conspiracy to encroach Mission Hospital alleged

Vikarabad: The Mission Hospital, here hit headlines for providing treatment to the large number of dengue fever patients, followed by officials' raid on hospital. After receiving the wrath from the public, government transferred the DM&HO and local MLA visited and appreciated the hospital for the public service.

However, heads of three religions shared a stage and made an appeal to save the hospital. Heads of Hindu, Muslim, Christian said that the hospital does not belong to the Methodist Church, as they are claiming.

The Methodist Church is conspiring to take over the hospital, they alleged. Speaking to the media, here on Thursday, they said rural people visit the hospital for snake bites and those who consume pesticides, and for other ailments. "We really felt bad when we came to know that the Methodist Church wrote to former DM&HO to cancel the permission of the hospital," they said.

The hospital was established by an American woman JL Crawford in 1913. It has lands till 1997. They were taken over by the government for road extension and a compensation of Rs five crore was paid.

The religious heads alleged that the amount was embezzled by the Church authorities and a sale deed was prepared for selling the hospital in 2017. But the court pronounced verdict in favour of the hospital by saying the hospital superintendent has authority over it, they said. They appealed to authorities to take action on the people, who are trying to encroach the hospital.
