Construction of Individual Household Latrines in Kodangal mandal stressed

Kodangal: Vikarabad District Collector Masrat Khanam Ayesha, while attending a programme organised by Kodangal Mandal Parishad President (MPP) at a private function hall in Kodangal mandal to distribute pattadaar passbooks to farmers, gave a call to every individual in Kodangal to take up the responsibility of construction of Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) on war footing and ensure that the entire Kodangal mandal be made into a defecation-free mandal by June end.

The District Collector also urged the people's representatives to mobilise public towards the initiative and ensure that Kodangal be made defecation-free mandal in Vikarabad district.

Later, the Collector visited the houses of a few self-help group members and enquired with them whether they have IHHLs in their houses.

Earlier, during a meeting, the District Collector along with Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy participated in the pattadaar passbook distribution programme. The Collector gave instructions and directed the concerned revenue department staff to take proactive initiatives to ensure that each and every farmer gets the benefits of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima.
