Cops bust gaming den in farmhouse; Rs 5.2lakh seized

Hyderabad: The special operation team, Bhongir Zone on Sunday raided a farmhouse and arrested eight persons, the prime accused and owner of the farmhouse T Chander Yadav is absconding. Officials also seized net cash of Rs 2.56 lakh, eight mobile phones and a car all worth Rs 5.2 lakh.

The arrested were identified as N Yellappa Yadav (55), K Srisailam (50), J Ramulu (50), T Vijay Kumar Yadav (38), T Suresh (40), R Madhu (35), B Santhosh Reddy (40) and S Umapathi (60). According to officials, prime accused T Chander Yadav owns a farmhouse en route of Ramakrishnapuram road, Bhongir.

Chander Yadav used to provide his farmhouse to accused persons now and then besides providing all necessary amenities. The accused persons are friends and usually play cards by betting huge amounts.

Police registered a case under 3 & 4 of Gaming Act and took up investigation. Police warned gamblers, such activities are not tolerated in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate.
