Nalgonda: Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed his concern over not getting police permission to his two-day Rythu Sadhana Yatra from Brahmana Vellemla project site of Narketpally mandal to Jalasoudha of Hyderabad, slated from August 26.

He said the yatra would be taken up to fight against State government for the delay in completing the lift irrigation scheme just by sanctioning a meagre sum of Rs 250 crore.

Speaking to The Hans India on Sunday, the MP informed that seeking permission for his padayatra, he had submitted a memorandum to Director General of Police Mahender Reddy on August 19, to Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat on August 24, and Nalgonda Superintendent of Police AV Ranganath on August 23.

However, he could not get any permission from respective police officials.

He described the act of government over not giving permission to his padayatra as suppressing the voice of people's leaders.

He informed that he would fight for the project till it gets completed. He further informed that he was approaching the court to get permission for padayatra and would announce the dates of padayatra after getting permission from the court.
