Mahbubnagar: With an aim to protect law and order, peace and tranquillity and to keep the anti-social elements at check, the Mahbubnagar district police have taken up the task of checking all the public places like RTC bus stand, railway station and busy junctions across various places in the district.
As part of the programme, the police teams with dog squads conducted simultaneous checks at all public places on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari said that the Mahbubnagar police have been always on the vigil.
"We have been on continuous surveillance and successfully ensured that Assembly, Parliament and local body elections are held in a peaceful environment without a single untoward incident in the district.
As many more events and programmes and festivals are come up in the days ahead, we do not want to give any chance and want to keep the anti-social elements at check and therefore, we have decided to conduct regular checks of public places with dog squads," said the SP.
The SP further added that the surprise checking with dog squad is done as part of the police research team and intelligence teams who are entitled to check all the places and persons with suspicious nature. "We take every single aspect into consideration as it gives vital clues of crime related incidents.
We will conduct more such surprise checks and with the support of the people, we will ensure friendly policing and provide safety and security to the people and help in upkeeping the peace," observed the SP.
