Cops conduct security checks on Independence Day celebrations in Mahbubnagar
Mahbubnagar: Ahead of 73rd Independence Day celebrations on Thursday, the Mahbubnagar police have made elaborate arrangements for the flag hoisting programme in the district and conducted checking at all important junctions, crossroads, business establishments, markets and major offices with dog squads and bomb squad teams on Wednesday.
Mahbubnagar SP Rema Rajeshwari, while giving her message for the Independence Day celebrations, said that the police were working round-the-clock to ensure safety and security of people in the district. As part of this, the SP said they have dispatched various teams across the district to conduct vehicle cheques, checks at major crossroads, junctions, business establishments and offices so that there would not be any kind of untoward incident occurring during the celebrations.
"The Mahbubnagar police are working round-the-clock for the safety and security of the police. We will not give any chance to the anti-social elements, and are always on high alert. I extend my Independence Day greetings to all people in the district," said the SP.
The police dog squads conducted checks at District Collector's office, Telangana crossroad junction, Amaraveerula Stupam, Clock Tower, market place and other areas in the district headquarters on the day.
