Cops educate people on traffic rules, other laws and Acts in Gadwal

Gadwal: The Gadwal police have started a programme to create awareness among public about various laws and acts to protect women against violence, SHE Teams, traffic regulations, importance of wearing helmets, laws against child labour, child marriages, spurious seeds, financial frauds and various socio-economic problems in the society and sought their cooperation in implementing the laws for keeping peace in the district.

The police along with Police Kalajatha teams visited villages and towns across Gadwal district and conducted awareness programmes. Speaking on the occasion, Jakkula Hanumanthu, Circle Inspector of Gadwal said, "On the directions of SP Apoorva Rao, we have launched the awareness programmes on various laws and acts to the public. To begin with, we have launched the awareness programme at Beerampally village of Gadwal mandal."

He said that the local police with the help of Police Kalajatha teams have decided to conduct many more such awareness programmes and thereby sensitise people on various social maladies and crimes.

In Gadwal district, the menace of spurious seeds, child labour and child marriages is on the high. To eradicate all these social evils, the Gadwal police have taken up the novel programme of conducting awareness programmes using the Kalajatha teams.

Of late, the traffic violations like drunk driving, signal jumping, over-speeding and driving without licences are also on the rise. To ensure strict traffic regulations are followed, the traffic police department has also conducted awareness on the importance of using helmets and urged the public to abstain from drunk driving and urged the parents to not to give vehicles to their minor sons and daughters.

Gadwal district is also facing problems like increased child labour, child marriages, online frauds, thefts, kidnapping of small children and suicides by farmers and even murders. Of late, the misuse of social media like Facebook, WhatsApp are also on the rise. To overcome all these issues, the Gadwal police have decided to first create awareness among public and let them know the adverse affects of misuse of these online medias.

Police Kalajatha members Hanmanthu, Lokeshwari, Divya Vaani, Narasimha, village elders and public took part in the programme.
