Cops organize blood donation camp in Kollapur

Nagarkurnool: The police in Kollapur Mandal of Nagarkurnool district organized a blood donation camp marking the Police Martyrs' Week celebrations on Thursday. Hundreds of police personnel along with the general public took part in the blood donation camp.

Earlier, Kollapur Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxmi Narayana inaugurated the blood donation camp and said that the police personnel were working tirelessly for the safety and security of people.

"We are celebrating the Police Martyrs' Week from October 15 to 21, and during this period, the police department has decided to conduct various programmes like blood donation camps, essay writing competitions for students, sports and games competitions for the youth in the district. It is the time to remember those police personnel who laid down their lives for the public," said the DSP.

Kollpur Circle inspector Venkat Reddy along with the police staff took part in the blood donation.
