Cops recover 22 bikes car from vehicle thieves in Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar: The Mahbubnagar police after a long wait have cracked a pending vehicle theft case by nabbing three persons found moving in a suspicious manner in Jadcherla mandal on Monday. The police recovered 22 bikes besides one car and a laptop, all worth Rs 15 lakh from their possession.

On Sunday, the Jadcherla police who received a vehicle theft complaint alert from the district authorities formed a special team and started conducting vehicle checks. On Sunday night, two youngsters were seen riding a bike in a rash manner shouting along the road. The police stopped the youth and started enquiring.

The youngsters Yeddula Dinesh Reddy and Nagaram Shiva Kumar Reddy revealed that they along with another person, Kothatelugu Yadagir, had stolen 22 bikes and a car from various police station limits in Hyderabad and were selling them to others to earn easy money.

"We have arrested three persons who are in their early teens and twenties for stealing 22 bikes, one laptop and a car. With this we have cracked the long-pending case of vehicle theft," informed Rema Rajeshwari, SP, Mahbubnagar.

The police booked cases against the accused and send them to remand.
