Cops register case against killer car driver
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Commissionerate's Raidurgam Police on Sunday registered a case against the car owner Kalvakuntla Krishna Milan Rao who killed a woman and injured two others by driving his car with overspeed on Biodiversity flyover at Gachibowli on Saturday afternoon.
According to S Ravinder, SHO, Raidurgam, cases were booked against him under sections 304 (A), 337, 338 and 279 IPC. He further stated that they have intensified the investigation and are collecting more clues pertaining to the over-speeding, whether the driver was drunk and whether he has a valid licence.
Police added that from the feedback of the doctors they primarily came to know that the driver was not drunk when on the wheels at the time of the accident.
However, his blood samples were collected and sent to the lab for analysis. Police are planning to record his statement after serving notices to him once he recovers from the injuries.
On the other hand, a case was also registered by the Madhapur Traffic police and a challan for over-speeding was issued against the vehicle.
Police collected the details of Krishna Milan Rao based on his car number and came to know that he is a resident of Jubilee Hills and the founder and CEO of a gaming company by name Empower Labs Private Limited. The Lab incorporated in 2015, with Hyderabad as it's headquarter.
According to police, over-speeding by the commuters is causing accidents on the Biodiversity flyover. Since its opening, two ghastly accidents occurred.
Saturday's accident was the second disaster after connecting the IT corridors of Gachibowli and Hitec City. Earlier two youngsters were killed on November 9, when they had stopped on the flyover to take the selfies and fell down from the flyover when a car driven by a drunk driver hit them with over-speed.
According to police, more than 550 speed challans were issued to the vehicles in the last six days for over-speeding on Biodiversity Junction.
