Cops seize 7.4 lakh worth gutka during raids in Nereducherla

Nereducherla (Suryapet): The police have arrested six persons in connection with the selling of banned gutka products and seized Rs 7.4 lakh worth gutka packets from their possession.

According to Kodad DSP Sudarshan Reddy, Neredcherla SI Yadavender Reddy along with his staff conducted raids on AS Pan Shop located on Ramapuram road and seized Rs 6,000 worth gutka packets besides Rs 6 lakh worth gutka packets during the raids on Subbarao Grocery Shop located on Huzurnagar road.

Police also seized Rs 90,000 worth gutka packets from Praveen Grocery Shop in Chillepally, Rs 30,000 worth gutka packets from supplier who resides in Nalgonda and Rs 12,000 worth gutka packets from a shop located near Prakasham Bazaar.

In total, the police seized Rs 7.4 lakh worth gutka packets during their raids in different places and arrested six persons, the DSP added.
