Corona update: 224 new positive cases, 461 recoveries in Telangana
Telangana registered 224 fresh positive cases and 461 recoveries until 8 pm on Sunday pushing the total confirmed cases to 2,90,008 while the recovery to 2,83,924. Meanwhile, the death toll went up to 1,566 with one person dying of the virus in the last 24 hours.
At present, there are 4,518 active cases out of which 2,439 are in home/institutional isolation. Between Saturday and Sunday, 24,785 tests were conducted including 10,905 on primary contacts and 2,974 on secondary contacts. So far, 72,78,021 tests have been conducted.
The recovery rate in Telangana was at 97.90 as against the recovery rate of the country at 96.40 while the death rate of Telangana is 0.53 per cent compared to the coronavirus fatality rate of the country which is at 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, the positive cases registered across the state include 56 from GHMC, 26 from Rangareddy, 13 from Karimnagar, 11 each from Sangareddy and Warangal Urban, 8 each from Rajanna Sircilla, Jagtial and Adilabad, 7 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mancherial and Nizamabad, 6 each from Yadadri Bhongir and Medak, 5 each from Peddapalli and Mahabubabad, 4 from Warangal Rural, 3 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Vikarabad, Nagarkurnool and Khammam, 2 each from Wanaparthy, Suryapet, Siddipet, Nalgonda and Kamareddy, one from Bhadradri Kothagudem and zero cases from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Narayanpet and Nirmal.
