Corona update: 293 fresh positive cases, 2 deaths in Telangana

Coronavirus positive cases in Telangana touched 2,87,109 with the fresh 293 cases reported in the last 24 hours and the fatalities went up to 1,546 with two new deaths. Meanwhile, the overall recoveries reached 2,79,991 with 535 persons recovering from the virus in a single day.

At present, there are 5,571 active cases out of which 3,418 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Thursday and Friday, 26,590 tests were conducted which include 11,699 on primary contacts and 3,190 on secondary contacts. However, the reports of 293 turned positive and the results of 658 are pending. So far, 69,51,297 tests have been conducted in the state.

The positive cases reported across the state include 72 from GHMC, 34 from Rangareddy, 26 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 22 from Karimnagar, 14 from Warangal Urban, 12 from Sangareddy, 7 from Peddapalli, 6 each from Vikarabad and Wanaparthy, 5 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtial, Jangaon, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Rajanna Sircilla, Suryapet and Warangal Rural, 4 each from Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool and Yadadri Bhongir, 3 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Medak and Siddipet, 2 each from Adilabad and Jayashankar Bhupalpally and one each from Kamareddy, Narayanpet and Nirmal.
