Corona Update: 379 fresh cases, 3 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 379 fresh coronavirus cases and three new deaths until 8 pm on Wednesday taking the total number of cases to 2,88,789 while the death toll rose to 1,559. And the recovery cases went up to 2,82,177 with 305 recoveries in a single day. At present, there are 5,053 active cases out of which 2,776 are in-home or institutional isolation.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 41,426 tests were conducted including 18,148 on primary contacts and 4,949 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 379 turned positive and the results of 453 are pending. So far, 71,45,613 tests have been conducted in Telangana.

The coronavirus positive cases reported across the state include 71 from GHMC, 37 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 36 from Rangareddy, 19 from Karimnagar, 14 from Warangal Urban, 12 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mancherial, Nalgonda and Sangareddy, 11 from Jagtial, 9 each from Nizamabad and Kamareddy, 8 each from Suryapet, Rajanna Sircilla, 7 each from Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubnagar, Peddapalli and Warangal Urban, 6 each from Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Medak, Siddipet, 5 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Vikarabad, 4 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy, 3 from Nirmal, and one from Narayanpet.
