Corona update: 517 fresh positive cases, 2 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 517 fresh coronavirus positive cases and two deaths until 8 pm on Sunday taking the cumulative number of cases to 2,73,858 while the death toll to 1,474. The number of recovery cases went up to 2,64,606 with the recovery of 862 cases in a single day.

Currently, there are 7,778 active cases in the state out of which 5,803 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Saturday and Sunday, 33,098 samples were tested including 14,563 on primary contacts and 3,971 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 517 cases turned positive and the reports of 644 are awaited.

The positive cases registered across the state include 102 from GHMC, 57 from Rangareddy, 36 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 33 from Karimnagar, 28 from Warangal Urban, 26 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 21 from Sangareddy, 19 from Jagtial, 17 from Jangaon, 16 from Khammam, 15 each from Mancherial and Nalgonda, 14 from Nagarkurnool, 11 each from Mahabubnagar, Sangareddy and Siddipet, 10 each from Adilabad and Nizamabad, 9 from Vikarabad, 7 each from Mulugu, Suryapet, Warangal Rural, Medak and Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 6 each from Yadadri Bhongir and Mahabubabad, 5 from Rajanna Sircilla, 2 each from Komarambheem Asifabad and Nirmal, one case from Jogulamba Gadwal and zero cases from Kamareddy and Narayanpet.
