Corona Update: 536 fresh positive cases, 3 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 536 fresh coronavirus positive cases and three new deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday taking the cumulative number of cases to 2,79,135 and the fatalities to 1,502. Meanwhile, the recoveries went up to 2,70,450 with 622 new recoveries in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 7,183 active cases out of which 5,041 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Monday and Tuesday, around 52,057 samples were tested including 22,905 on primary contacts and 6,246 on secondary contacts. The results of 526 samples came positive and the reports of 676 are awaited.

The positive cases reported across the state include 107 from GHMC, 43 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 41 from Rangareddy, 27 from Warangal Urban, 26 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam, 22 from Karimnagar, 19 each from Nalgonda and Sangareddy, 17 from Mancherial, 16 from Siddipet, 15 each from Peddapalli and Nizamabad, 14 from Jagtial, 11 each from Suryapet and Mahabubnagar, 9 each from Adilabad, Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla, 8 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Medak, Mahabubabad and Jangaon, 7 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Komarambheem Asifabad and Nagarkurnool, 6 each from Warangal Rural and Kamareddy, 5 each from Nirmal and Vikarabad, 3 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 2 from Wanaparthy, zero cases from Nalgonda and Narayanpet.
