Corona update: 574 fresh positive cases, 2 deaths in Telangana

Telangana recorded 574 coronavirus positive cases and two deaths until 8 pm on Wednesday taking the total number of cases to 2,83,356 while the death toll to 1,524. Meanwhile, the recovery count went up to 2,75,217 with fresh 384 recoveries in a single day.

At present, there are 6,815 active cases out of which 4,487 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, around 44,516 samples were tested including 19,587 on primary contacts and 5,341 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 574 turned positive and the reports of 666 are awaited. So far, 66,11,118 tests have been conducted in the state.

The positive cases reported across the state include 109 from GHMC, 48 from Rangareddy, 42 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 34 from Warangal Urban, 30 from Karimnagar, 25 from Khammam, 24 from Sangareddy, 22 each from Nalgonda and Bhadradri Kothagudem, 17 from Mancherial, 16 from Peddapalli, 13 from Warangal Rural, 12 each from Jagtial, Mahabubabad, Siddipet and Nagarkurnool, 11 each from Jangaon, Nizamabad, Mulugu and Yadadri Bhongir, 10 from Suryapet, 8 each from Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Medak, 7 from Mahabubnagar, 6 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 4 each from Vikarabad and Nirmal, 3 each from Jogulamba Gadwal and Wanaparthy and zero cases from Narayanpet.
