Corona update: 612 fresh positive cases, 3 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 612 coronavirus positive cases and three deaths until 8 pm on Thursday taking the total number of cases to 2,76,516 while the fatalities to 1,485. The recovery cases went up to 2,67,427 with 502 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 7,604 active cases out of which 5,511 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, 56,178 tests were conducted including 24,710 on primary contacts and 6,741 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 612 samples turned positive and the 677 are awaited. So far, 60,29,2909 tests have been conducted.

The positive cases reported across the state include 144 from 73 from Rangareddy, 60 from Malkajgiri, 29 from Warangal Urban, 28 from Karimnagar, 23 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 21 from Nalgonda, 18 from Khammam, 15 each from Mancherial and Rangareddy, 13 from Mahabubabad, 12 each from Adilabad, Jagtial and Mulugu, 11 each from Medak, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, 10 from Jangaon, 9 each from Suryapet, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Yadadri Bhongir and Nagarkurnool, 7 each from Siddipet, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, 6 each from Komarambheem Asifabad and Kamareddy, 5 from Warangal Urban, 4 each from Wanaparthy and Nirmal, 3 from Narayanpet.
