Corona update: 622 fresh cases, 2 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 622 fresh coronavirus cases and two deaths until 8 pm on Saturday. The overall coronavirus cases tally reached 2,73,341 while the death toll went up to 1,472. The recovery cases in the state touched 2,63,744 with 993 recoveries on a single day.

At present, there are 8,125 active cases in the state including 6,116 in home or institutional isolation.

Between Friday and Saturday, around 57,108 tests were conducted including 25,215 on primary contacts and 6,876 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 622 samples came positive and the reports of 848 are awaited. So far, 57,79,490 tests have been conducted in the state since March.

The positive cases reported from the state include 104 from GHMC, 55 from Rajanna Sircilla, 51 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 33 from Warangal Urban, 29 each from Nalgonda, Bhadradri Kothagudem, 27 from Karimnagar, 23 from Khammam, 19 from Nagarkurnool, 18 from Sangareddy, 17 from Mancherial, 16 each from Peddapalli and Siddipet, 15 each from Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla and Suryapet, 13 each from Nizamabad and Mahabubabad, 12 from Mulugu, 11 from Mahabubnagar, 9 each from Wanaparthy, Yadadri Bhongir, 8 each from Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Vikarabad and Nirmal, 7 from Jangaon, 6 each from Kamareddy and Warangal Rural, 2 each from Jogulamba Gadwal and Narayanpet.
