A coronavirus patient has gone missing from Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad since Wednesday night.

Hyderabad: A coronavirus patient has gone missing from Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad since Wednesday night. The 60-year-old man, a native of Panchamukhi Hanuman colony in Kamareddy had gone to an area hospital in Kamareddy after he suffered from cough and asthma.

He was then shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad where he tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. The healthcare officials were alerted in the district who traced the primary contacts of the man and around 13 members have been placed in quarantine.

The doctors who visited the patient after the reports arrived have found him missing from the ward. The medical and healthcare officials along with the police have launched a hunt for the patient. It is being enquired if the patient has gone to Kamareddy or any other place.

The state on Wednesday reported 129 new cases besides seven deaths taking the total number of cases to 3,020. While the total fatalities reported were 99. Meanwhile, the total discharges were 30 taking a total tally of discharged persons to 1,556.
