Coronavirus: People need not panic, says CM KCR
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has claimed the virus spread after lifting some sanctions in the lockdown period is not much and hence people need not panic.
Though the threat of increasing number of positive cases is imminent in the next two or three months, the CM is confident of providing medical treatment to any number of infected persons Arrangements like the availability of ventilators, beds, medicine, masks and PPE kits for doctors were made available for the treatment of increasing corona patients .
He said in a review meeting on Corona virus and lockdown that the corona death rate was 2.82 per cent in the Telangana which is lower than the national average of 2.86 per cent. Only 5 per cent of the infected persons were facing serious health complications.
The CM instructed the officials to ensure people adopt required safety measures to check the spread of the virus. In some cases, the persons with positive case were not showing any symptoms and they need not to worry about their health.
Since there is no availability of vaccine and medicine , the only solution is for people to stay away from infection by maintaining social distance and adopt a healthy life style. KCR also asked the medical and health department to maintain specific protocols in providing treatment to the patients in the Covid hospitals.
