Coronavirus suspects to be quarantined at Viqarabad
Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr. Etela Rajender on Tuesday reiterated that no one in Telangana was affected with Coronavirus and those found positive had come here after travelling to foreign countries.
Speaking to media persons, Etela said that the affected person, who had come from Bengaluru to Hyderabad, has fully recovered. He said so far, five positive cases have surfaced in Telangana State. He said Telangana was ahead of other States in introducing the thermal screening of passengers. So far, he said as many as 66,162 passengers have been screened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Further, tests were conducted for 4,160 people. He also informed that the flights to the United Arab Emirates might be suspended from March 18 onwards.
The Minister informed that people with symptoms of Coronavirus were being shifted to Gandhi Hospital while the people returning from China, Iran, Italy, Germany and Spain would be shifted to a quarantine centre in Viqarabad.
