Coronavirus Update: CM KCR advises foreign returnees to report health department
Hyderabad: The high-level meeting chaired by CM KCR concluded. Ministers, dignitaries, police chiefs and medical health officials participated in the meeting held in the wake of fast-spreading Coronavirus. Speaking on the occasion, CM said, "We have discussed with all district collectors and police officers about the coronavirus incident in Karimnagar yesterday. We advised the authorities on how to proceed."
Rao as popularly known as said there have been 14 positive cases in Telangana so far of which five of them landed at Hyderabad airport from abroad while others have landed at other airports and came to the state via buses and trains. "It is difficult to find people who have landed at other airports. Those from Indonesia are also the ones who come by road, yet there is no panic, " KCR said.
We instructed to identify those who came from abroad and constituted a committee with DMHO to do the same. He advised the foreign returnees to report. We are collecting details from village panchayats, municipal staff and intelligence personnel from abroad. We are extending the deadline for the week to be closed on March 31.
He also advised the people not to visit temples, mosques and churches. The main principle is to avoid crowds to prevent the spread of the virus.
