Corruption-free society is everyone's responsibility: Nizamabad Collector M Rammohan Rao

Nizamabad: District Collector M Rammohan Rao gave a call to everyone to take up one-on-one responsibility to form a society free of corruption. He flagged off a rally at the Collectorate stadium here on Wednesday as part of week-long programme of International Anti-Corruption Day, which is on December 9. The rally continued to Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium and then back to the Collectorate. The Collector administered a pledge by all on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the government employees should provide public services free of charge, without resorting to corruption. Taking bribes is illegal and anyone caught red handed while taking bribes from people will be imprisoned, he cautioned.

Rao suggested all the people that they should teach their children the difference between wrong and right and should tell them to take righteous path and not to go on corrupt way. To eradicate bribery and corruption in the society, everyone has to be motivated and educate others. If anyone founds a government employee involved in corruption or taking bribe, then they should immediately call toll free number 1064, the Collector stated.

ACB Inspectors Shiv Kumar and Shankar Reddy, SHO Anjaneyulu, students and others were present at the programme.
