COVID-19: 14 foreigners touring in Nalgonda sent to Gandhi Hospital
After eight Indonesian nationals tested positive for COVID-19, the police eyed on the foreigners touring in the state and took around 14 foreigners into custody.
14 tourists who were on a visit to Nalgonda were shifted to the isolation ward in Gandhi Hospital. The health authorities said that they have collected their samples and sent for testing.
The Telangana state government intensified the measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 after the total positive cases count touched to 16. Around 47 suspected cases are undergoing treatment at various quarantine centres in the state.
Meanwhile, the foreigners arriving at the Shamshabad airport are being sent to the quarantine centres to learn if they are infected by the virus. The government also alerted the public to bring it to the notice of officials if they found any foreigner in the state.
On the other hand, the government imposed curfew in Karimnagar after eight positive cases of COVID-19 reported on a single day.
