COVID-19: CM KCR's Karimnagar visit cancelled

Telangana: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has cancelled his visit to Karimnagar today as it could disrupt the medical arrangements and screening in the district. KCR is learned to have taken the decision on the suggestions of the state chief secretary and the Karimnagar district officials.

KCR had planned to visit Karimnagar to ingrain belief among the people after reports of 10-member Indonesian group tested positive for the Coronavirus. The group who arrived in Delhi travelled to Ramagundam by AP Sampark express and where they went to Karimnagar.

On Friday, the Nalgonda police have taken 14 visitors from Saudi Arabia and Indonesia into custody and sent them to Fever Hospital in Hyderabad for tests. The police also seized the place where the group had stayed for two nights in Karimnagar.
