Numaish-2021 put off

Nampally: In a view of Covid-19 pandemic, the 81st All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish-2021) has decided to look for an appropriate time to conduct the Numaish at a later date. The Exhibition Society in a press release informed that all stakeholders were keen to have the exhibition as usual. However, given the health threat, it was decided to conduct the Numaish-2021 at a later date, informed Society Joint secretary informed K Janaki Ram.

The Society will obtain guidelines from the public health experts and appropriate government bodies on how this mammoth festival can be conducted and what all the safety precautions are to be taken.

Only when they are clear on these matters and get the approval from appropriate authorities can the Society announce the date and schedule of Numaish, said Janaki Ram. Exhibition is a good source of revenue for government by way of GST which is levied on tickets (nearly 20 lakh), stall rents (1500) and sales turnover of small businesses and shopkeepers.

Exhibition is a venue of recreation, relaxation, shopping and entertainment for Hyderabadis in particular and Telangana. Over 20 lakh visitors attended last year's exhibition and on an average 45,000 visitors enter the Grounds every day for 46 days.
