CPI demands govt to rescue rain-hit farmers

Nalgonda: Communist Party of India State deputy secretary Palla Venkat Reddy called upon party district leaders and cadre to get ready for the upcoming ZPTC and MPTC elections.

On Friday, he participated as chief guest to district party council meeting held at Makdoom Bhavan in Nalgonda town. Addressing the gathering, he said CPI always stood for public, and would always fight for people's issues.

He urged the people to support CPI candidates in ZPTC and MPTC elections to help them raise people's voice in Mandal Praja Parishad and Zilla Praja Parishad.

He demanded the government to pay compensation to victim farmers of untimely rains in the State and urged the government to take all necessary steps well in advance to tackle drinking water issues in villages as the groundwater was depleting due to increasing temperatures.

In this meeting, party district secretary Palla Narsimha Reddy, party leaders Mandadi Narsimha Reddy, Nellikanti Satyam, Ujjini Yadagiri Rao, Palla Devender Reddy, K Kanthaiah, Shravan Kumar, Bantu Venkateshwarlu and others participated.
