Khammam: CPM district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao demanded criminal cases be filed against the Globarena Technologies that released the incorrect results of Intermediate exams due to which several students have committed suicides in the State. He also demanded rejig in the Board of Intermediate.

The leaders of CPM party from Khammam further demanded the resignation of Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy for his inefficiency and failure to oversee the evaluation of Intermediate examination.

In a press release by CPM district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao, he alleged that the government did not react appropriately to the suicides of 17 students. The incidents happened because of gross negligence by the Board of Intermediate and government's failure to oversee and manage the Board.

He also demanded the government to intervene immediately and dismiss the Board secretary Ashok long with conducting free re-evaluation for all the students. He also demanded the government to provide fair ex gratia to the families who lost their loved ones.

He said, "The EAMCET examination will be held from May 3 to 6 in the State. Students and parents are mentally suffering due to this mismanagement in this crucial face of their preparation. It is shameful to see that the High Court pointed out the irregularities in the Intermediate Board and ordered Board secretary and Secretary of Education to appear before it."

"The government, which screams out loud for every small achievement, is suddenly maintaining silence about the crisis, while thousands of students and their families are grieving," he said.
