CPM extends supports to RTC strike
Hyderabad: Telangana CPM State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Sunday announced the party's support to the RTC strike.
The CPM leaders' decision came after the RTC JAC leaders met him and sought the party's support. The JAC delegation led by RTC JAC convenor Aswathama Reddy, co-conveners VS Rao, Sudha and Raji Reddy and others met Tammineni and submitted a memorandum seeking the CPM's support.
The JAC leaders said that the employees are forced to go on strike for the last two days for the fulfillment of their just demands.
However, the State government did not bother and resorted to vendetta to suppress the employees on strike, they said.
Tammineni found fault with the State government for not addressing the just demands of about 50,000 RTC employees and resolving the issues.
He asked the government not to treat the strike as a prestige issue and initiate a dialogue to address the demands of the RTC staff.
