CPM to protest against Trump's visit to India

Khammam: The CPM State secretariat member, Pothineni Sudharshan, informed that party would stage a protest during the US President Donald Trump's visit to the country. He called upon party leaders and workers to conduct protest programmes against the visit of Trump.

Speaking at a meeting conducted at Sundarayya Bhavan in Khammam on Sunday, Pothineni said the people in the country were facing many issues including price rise of several commodities. "The Modi government has not taken any interest in addressing people's issues, instead it is focusing on implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act and National Population Register against the will of the citizens of the country," he said.

Slamming the BJP and the TRS, Pothineni said both governments have failed to keep the poll promises they made. District party secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao, party Committee member Ponnam Venkateswara Rao, District party secretariat member B Lenin, M Bharathi, B Ramesh, leaders of the party T L Narasaiah, Y Srinivas Rao, Dr Bhargavi and others attended the meeting.
