Credit for Sri Ram Sagar Project revival goes to KCR: Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy

Nizamabad: R&B, Assembly Affairs and Housing Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said the credit of revival of Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. On Tuesday, he inspected the water that was reached Sri Ram Sagar flood canal from Kaleshwaram and performed puja at the project at the pump house near Mugpal mandal on the occasion. He conducted milk bath to the portrait of KCR.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Prashanth Reddy said all the ayacut lands under the project will become fertile after diverting water from Kaleshwaram project to SRSP through reverse pumping.

Reminding that the Opposition leaders said that it was impossible to bring water through reverse pumping, Reddy said that Chief Minister KCR had made the impossible as possible, that too within two years. The new Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan also praised the project as a magnificent one. District Collector M Rammohan Rao and others accompanied the Minister.
