Customs officials seize Rs 1 crore worth gold at Hyderabad airport

The customs officials on Sunday seized 2.5kg of gold worth Rs 1 crore here from a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).
The officials found four women arrived from Jeddah were moving suspiciously and intervened them. Around 2.5 kg of gold seized from them. The four women are being questioned by the police.
On February 3, 2020, the DRI officials seized 31.5 kg of gold worth Rs 13.3 crore. The officials from Hyderabad, Nellore and Vijayawada arrested 1 people for smuggling gold from Chennai an bringing it to Warangal and Hyderabad.
