Cyberabad police, SCSC conducts 'Margadarshak' review

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police, along with Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), conducted Margadarshak review and refresher program at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Cyberabad Police Commissioner and SCSC Chairman VC Sajjanar said Margdarshak programme helps women leader in their empowerment to work for women safety for their organization and act as a bridge between law enforcement and their organization. Maryada Tagal is a very innovative program. Out of 10 complaints coming 5 to 6 are related to Women. Hence, all Margadarshaks to get more active and help more women and save more lives. He added Cyberabad Police have shuttle bus for women employees for their safe travel.

SCSC Secretary Krishna yedula said Margadarshaks works on women problems. Till now more than 100 cases resolved with the help of Cyberabad police and Margadarshaks. Out of total 292 margadarshaks only 30 are active and requested all others also to become more active. The categories of the cases Margadarshaks will look after are Domestic Violence, Domestic harassments, Cheating by finance/ boyfriend, Cyber offences, Stalking, sexual harassment, eve teasing, depression, Custody of children ICC related cases, Voyeurism, extra- marital affairs, kidnap, cab driver behaviour, elderly abuse, defamation, Marriage through concealing Impotency of husband etc.

SCSC Women Forum Convenor and She Teams DCP Anasuya said so far 150 cases have been solved. She Teams and Bharosa are helping the needy women. Margadarshaks will help more women by resolve their problems. Margadarshaks are resources within every IT/ITES company in Cyberabad who would guide employees on the process of seeking basic police support when required.

SCSC women forum leader Pratyusha interacted with all the attendees and answered their queries related to the Training, Awareness Program, Volunteering, Internal complaints committee (ICC), Harassments at working places etc., The victims also shared their experiences.
