Dal purchasing centre sought in Zaheerabad

Zaheerabad: The leaders of CPI (M) submitted a memorandum to RDO Ramesh Babu, seeking an arrangement of a moong dal buying centre in Zaheerabad. CPI (M) district member B Ramchander also participated in the submission of the memorandum.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramchander said, "Private business persons paying giving Rs 4,400 to Rs 5,400 per quintal of dal. It is causing losses to the farmers. If it is bought by the government itself, they will get Rs 7,050 per quintal." N Mahipal, J Narsimhulu, Saleemoddin and others were present on the occasion.
