Darshanam to honour Chaganti tomorrow

Hyderabad: 'Darshanam,' a spiritual monthly, is celebrating its 15th anniversary at Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Nampally Public Gardens on Sunday.A brochure relating to the programme was released at Hyderguda NSS here on Friday.

'Darshanam' editor Marumamula Dattatreya Sharma told media that as part of the celebration, they would be felicitating Pravachana Chakravarthi, Sharada Gnanaputra Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao with swarna kankanam (golden bracelet), pushpabhishekam and bestowing the title of 'Dharmika Varenya' and lifetime achievement award.

Dattatreya said that Chaganti through his discourses inspired the people of the two Telugu states to follow 'dharma' way of life and promoted noble values. He said that T Harish Rao, Minister for Finance, would be the chief guest at the programme while Dr K V Ramanachari, Advisor to Telangana government, Dr S Venugopalachari, representative of Telangana government in New Delhi, L V Subrahmnayam, the Chief Secretary of AP, SK Joshi, the chief Secretary of TS, and others would be guests of honour at the event.
